Educators from India Visit WMS Dance Class
Posted on 10/31/2018
On Tuesday Oct. 30, two educators from India visited the dance class at West Middle School to gain a better understanding of the Fine Arts Curriculum within the Binghamton City School District. The educators are part of a cultural exchange program through Cornell University. During their two-week trip, Nirupama Kaushik and Jasmine Shah have been touring schools within the region to learn as much as they can about the educational practices of primary and secondary education. The students gave a special dance performance for the visitors. Both women work at The Somaiya School in India. Kaushik is an elementary librarian and Shah works with K-2 curriculum.
