The Boys & Girls Club of Binghamton honored six of its graduating seniors Wednesday.
In a ceremony, the Club gave each of them a certificate along with a gift card to help them pay for their books and future academics.
The teens have have been participating in college prep programming funded by the Taco Bell Foundation.
Keonna Mack-Feggins, graduating Binghamton High School Senior and Boys & Girls Club member, was selected as this year’s Youth of the Year by the Club.
“I think I was selected as youth of the year because I think I had one of the biggest changes because from being bullied and being able to change and now I’m able to stand up for myself and people and be a stronger person for everyone,” said Mack-Feggins.
The 18-year old has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club since she was 5-years-old and says she wouldn’t be the person she is today if it wasn’t for the Club. Watch the story on WICZ.
